About Feis Rois
Fèis is the Gaelic word for festival or feast and Rois is Gaelic for Ross-shire, the home area in which we are based. Over the past 25 years the word "Fèis" has become synonymous with the Fèisean movement, a group of Gaelic arts tuition festivals, mainly for young people, which now take place throughout Scotland.
The Jewel in the Crown of the Fèis movement.
BBC Scotland

- Traditional Music in Schools (TMIS) scheme offering an introduction to traditional music through lively participatory visits to Primary schools
- Youth Music Initiative (YMI) scheme offering traditional arts tuition to Primary schools in four Highland Council areas
We also create youth concert performances for major festivals such as Celtic Connections and Tartan Heart and for special occasions as opportunities arise.
This challenging musical explosion has resulted in creative and resilient responses. The sheer number of young people coming through the Fèis throughout the Highlands has resulted in entire communities holding workshops and cèilidhs. It is a very exciting time for traditional music.
