Senior Fèis
This Fèis is dedicated to Secondary aged pupils and has a wonderful energy about it with 170 teenagers immersed in traditional culture in Ullapool for 5 days.
I look forward to it all year
Both residential and non-residential places are offered. Daily classes from 9.30am - 4pm are led by a very talented, enthusiastic team of tutors and participants can choose from accordion, chanter, drama, drumming/percussion, fiddle, Gaelic song, groupwork, guitar, piano, Scottish small harp, Highland pipes, step dancing, tin whistle.
All participants are introduced to Gaelic language through a daily class, offered at 7 different levels and everyone learns a Gaelic song to sing together at the Participants Ceilidh. The classes are open to all ability levels including the complete beginner. Some instruments can be provided for the week - accordions, fiddles, guitars, harps and keyboards.
A live-in team of highly-motivated supervisors take care of welfare, health and safety and all the fun and games of the residential Fèis. Everyone attends three ceilidhs - the Tutors’ ceilidh, the Ceilidh Dance and the final night Participants’ Ceilidh always a very popular sell-out.
This year’s dates are 13 - 17 October 2008.
